Apple could have a car in production by 2020
Apple is not wasting time when it comes to its secret automotive project, but we all know cars take a while to make. Bloomberg is reporting that “people with knowledge of the matter” claim Apple could have a vehicle in production as early as 2020.
No other details were given, but this seems like a reasonable release window. Meanwhile, Apple continues to get experts on vehicle production, which has proven to be a reason for one of their many lawsuits. Vehicle battery maker A123 Systems is suing Apple for “systematically” hiring its high-level employees in order to compete with them.
Opinion: That lawsuit wouldn’t be the first case to get Apple in court. They are pretty used to it by now, so the Cupertino giant should be fine. What I really want to know is when we will see more on that Apple van!
