Windows 10 for phones preview now available to the masses
We have seen how Windows 10 looks and works on computers and tablets, but we haven’t been able to see how the new OS will be adapted to the smaller screen yet. This changes today as Microsoft launches the technical preview of Windows 10 for phones. How does the new software fare? You can test it yourself.
All you need is a Windows 8.1 smartphone. If you meet that qualification, simply sign up for the Windows Insider Program and download the Windows Insider app. Among other things, users should get access to full-size wallpapers, expanded Quick Actions, improved speech-to-text, an enhanced Photos app and Project Spartan’s new engine (which is currently hosted by IE).
Opinion: Are any of you guys testing this? I am very curious to see how the full Windows 10 OS is optimized for smartphones. Let us know how it works if you sign up!
