Philips Brilliance 288P6 Review

The Philips Brilliance 288P6 is the answer to the famous Dutch House to monitor market with 4 k resolution. As for the rest of its products, Philips offers an attractive display and minimalist, with a solid body and well designed. The anti-glare Panel is contained within a very small frame except obviously the lower part where the buttons are arranged for the setting of the display.

The model in question has some useful features for professional users, such as a support system with removable feet, while the rear support rotates by 90 degrees the display (Portrait mode) and tilt it up to 25 degrees, if not enough all the back support is able to rotate relative to the anchor leg of 65 degrees on each sidea total of 130 degrees of action. Of course you can disassemble the entire support system to attach it to the wall using VESA holes.
As for other rivals, the Philips Brilliance 288P6 presents speakers from 3 watt, the sound already at a 50% volume is really strong, but is lacking in bass. The setting menu is activated by soft-touch buttons found on the lower right, among other cool features is beyond the direct control of the Gamut Range and also the possibility to increase the response speed of the display using the function, which surely SmartResponse will like gamers genres fps and SG.
The number of connection ports make this monitor an extremely versatile product: you have a DVI port, a DisplayPort, HDMI, one even a VGA and of course being a monitor with integrated speakers is to bring audio from the outside or by-pass the signal to external speakers.

Philips Brilliance 288P6-On the right side of the monitor there are 2 USB 2.0 ports instead, a USB 3.0 port and a USB port with higher amperage for charging mobile devices, closes the supplied connector for the PC and the power button. Another aspect to consider is that concerning the assistance. Philips indeed guarantees full assistance with 288P6 for a period of 3 years, during which the client will be covered by replacement, labour costs and Panel backlight problems.
As seen for other models in the past with the installation CD, you can control the settings menu directly with mouse and keyboard without the need to physically touch the soft-touch buttons.
