Google Wallet being revived

Google Wallet being revived

Google may have started the mobile payments movement, but time has proved thatApple clearly controls that market now. Google Wallet has since fallen behind, along with ISIS and every other competitor. What gives?
If the latest rumors prove correct, Google is not ready to call it a day and is planning a major relaunch for Google Wallet. A new report from the WSJ cites internal sources and claims Google is working on pushing out a “revived” version of Google Wallet. Mountain View is said to be working with an “unruly coalition of device makers, wireless carriers, banks and payment networks.”
It’s also said Google is now willing to give participating parties a much more significant portion or revenues, which would further entice them to join the party.
Opinion: Google seems to be serious about this. And though Apple has a lot of power, so does Google… and so do dollar bills. Let’s hope Google has something to announce at their IO developer conference. But tell us, guys – how many of you use mobile payments? And if you do, which is your service of choice?
