While products based on that acquisition haven't yet surfaced, the range that Lenovo launched today includes the entry-level ThinkServer RS140, a 1U rack server for small businesses and distributed environments. Lenovosaid that this model runs a range of operating systems, including client OS capability for retail applications.
Other rack servers in the range include the RD350, RD450, RD550 and RD650.
In terms of its tower servers, Lenovo made special mention of its ThinkServer TS140, which is billed as an affordable 4U enterprise-class offering. It features Intel Xeon E3-1200 v3 series processors which offer a 15% performance increase over Lenovo's previous-generation towers, the vendor claimed.
The TS140 is also upgradable to up to 16 TB of storage and 32 GB of memory, Lenovo said.
Other tower server models launched by Lenovo today include the TS440, the TD340 and the TD350.
